Light Client

A sort of node that merely downloads and verifies block headers, assuming that the state of the chain represented by the block header is valid based on an honest majority assumption. Due to the fact that light clients are not required to download and execute transactions like full nodes, they are able to run on significantly less expensive hardware, but with poorer security guarantees.
