Denial of Service (DoS)

A cyber attack from a single origin that overwhelms the network traffic of a target, causing the target network to fail. A Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) utilizes a compromised network of computers to attack a target. Common targets in cryptocurrency are Initial Coin Offerings (ICO), popular crypto project websites, and cryptocurrency exchanges.
